Commonly Asked Mystic Tanning Questions: 

What should I do before I come to spray?

It is best to exfoliate your skin before you come in.  It leaves the pores unclogged and helps them to absorb the solution better.  Don’t apply moisturizer before you come in, it will clog your pores preventing the solution from sinking in.  It is also best to shave your legs too. 

 What should I wear to come and spray?

Most people prefer to spray in the nude.  Others prefer to wear a bathing suit or undergarments.  The Mystic Tan is a clear solution so it will not your clothes.  The Mystic Tan will wash out of clothes after running them through the laundry, so no worries if you happen to get some on you after/while tanning.

 How long does the whole process of spray tanning take?

The setup time for the Mystic takes approximately 3-5 minutes.  The spray tan itself takes about 30 seconds.  The entire process together takes approximately 6-9 minutes.

 Am I going to look orange and blotchy?

The Mystic Tan is the elite spray tanning booth.  It utilizes Magna Tan Technology which magnetizes your body and allows the solution to stick evenly throughout your body.  Unlike other knock-off spray tans, Mystic Tan does not leave you looking orange.  Instead, it leaves you with a realistic bronze glow.

 Are there any special things I have to remember to do after using the Mystic Tan?

After Mystic Tanning, you cannot shower or sweat (excessively such as working out) for at least 4 hours.  It is also best to moisturize daily to maintain the tan. 

 How long does the Mystic Tan last?

The Mystic Tan usually lasts for about 7 to 10 days.  There are different factors that affect how long the spray will last.  Depending on how much you exfoliate, shave your legs, etc., the Mystic will last different times for everyone. We sell a maintainer moisturizer made by the Mystic Tan Company that will help your tan last longer. 

I have a big event on Saturday, which day should I Mystic?

The best results you get from your tan are usually on the second day, after a shower.  Therefore Thursday night or Friday morning would be a good time to tan prior to a big event on Saturday.

 I used the Mystic, and my hands and feet seem to be a little darker than the rest of my body, is there anything I can do to fix it?

Your best bet is to use some fresh lemon juice and rub it right on the areas that are darker.  Baking soda, Mineral Spirit, and Comet also working at removing the access tanning solution. 

How dark will I get from using the Mystic Tan?

Everyone skin is different so no 2 people will come out with the same tan.  The Mystic Tan gets your skin 3 shades darker than your skin tone.  We also offer a Level 3 Mystic Tan which will get you 30% darker than the regular Mystic Tan.
